Fourteen Iowa City businesses successfully passed a tobacco sales law compliance check conducted Thursday at 16 Iowa City businesses that previously sold to underage people in December 2012. Two businesses failed, and employees were charged with selling tobacco to persons under 18, a simple misdemeanor.
